Mrs. Tuggle is married to Shane Tuggle, and has two sons, Ty and David Tuggle. Shane works for TA Services as an Account Manager. Ty is employed at Sprout Fiber Internet, and David will be a senior this year.

Aimee Bates, Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs for Student Last Names A - FCurriculum & Professional Learning Plans
Aimee Bates has worked in Cullman City Schools since 2003 and has served as a middle school math teacher (3 years), a technology integration specialist (16 years), a virtual school administrator (6 years), and now serves CHS as the Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs. In addition to her positions in Cullman City Schools, Mrs. Bates also served as a cheerleading sponsor for six years.
Mrs. Bates has a bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics and a master’s degree in Educational Administration.
Mrs. Bates is mom to four boys - Jacob, Andrew, Nash, and Owen, who graduated from or currently attend Cullman City Schools. She is also a proud MiMi to two beautiful granddaughters.
Emily Hines earned her bachelor’s degree from Athens State University in Elementary Education, (2012). She earned a master’s in English as a Second Language (2019) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2021, Mrs. Hines earned a Master’s in Instructional Leadership and an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of North Alabama. She obtained her National Board Certification in 2019 in the area of Literacy-Reading Language Arts. Mrs. Hines served as a classroom teacher for 8 years, with 5 of those years spent in 1st grade at Cullman City Primary, the West Elementary ARI Reading Specialist for 2 years, and the Cullman City Elementary Curriculum and Federal Programs Coordinator for 2 years.
Mrs. Hines is married to Josh Hines and has two sons, Cooper and Grayson Hines. Josh is the Physical Education teacher at West Point Elementary. Cooper and Grayson are both students in Cullman City Schools
Aaron Sparks, Assistant Principal of Student Last Names P - Z Facilities, Safety, Technology, & ISS/TP - Disciplinary Management
The 2024 - 2025 school year will be Aaron Sparks' 25th year as an educator. He is a 1993 graduate of Cullman High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Athens State University in 1999, his master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from University of Alabama in 2005. Mr. Sparks also earned his Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership at The University of West Alabama.
Mr. Sparks began teaching and coaching for Cullman City Schools in 2000 before moving to Cullman High School in 2004. In 2012, Mr. Sparks became the administrator at the Cullman Alternative School. In addition to teaching social science, he has served as an assistant football coach, assistant baseball coach, assistant soccer coach, and head softball coach for Cullman City Schools.
Mr. Sparks is the proud father of three girls. Twins, Harper and Parker, and Lily Katherine are students in Cullman City Schools.
