Marching Band

The Cullman Bearcat Marching Band performs at all CHS football games and pep rallies, at least two marching festivals per year, the Fair Parade, and the Cullman County Marching Band Exhibition. The marching band has also performed in multiple nationally televised events over the years including: The McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, the Nation's Parade in New York City, the 6ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Parade in Chicago, and the "Celebrate a Dream Come True" parade in the Magic Kingdom. The marching band has also been the recipient of  numerous honors over the years including multiple "Best in Class" and Division Championship awards at regional marching contests.

 

Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is an audition based performing ensemble that meets during the spring semester. We perform some of the finest quality wind ensemble literature available, including traditional marches, orchestral transcriptions, and modern compositions. The Symphonic Band has a strong legacy of earning straight 1's at all major festivals.

 

Jazz Band

The Cullman Jazz Band is made up of 18 to 22 advanced high school students selected by audition. Specializing in swing and jazz music, this group performs regularly at the Christmas Concert, Spring Concert, Big Band Dance, Strawberry Festival, and for many other civic and community events.

 

Concert Band

The Concert Band is an audition based performing ensemble that meets during the spring semester. We continue to develop tone and technique while performing outstanding concert literature that includes traditional marches, modern compositions, and festive 'pop' tunes.

 

Percussion Ensemble

The Percussion Ensemble performs at multiple community events, school concerts, and regional competitions during the months of November through May. These students also participate with the Symphonic and Concert bands during concert season
