Mr. Wayne Cook

Welcome to the world of Performing Arts at Cullman High School. I am Wayne Cook and I oversee Theatre as a class and a program at CHS. I am married to Robin Cook who is a senior english teacher at CHS as well as coach for the JV tennis team. We have one son, Carter, who is three and already loves the stage. I am a graduate of Cullman High School and proud to be serving my alma mater. I have a bachelor of arts and a masters degree from Samford University. I have been involved in theatre and production for over 40 years. 

We are engaged in building a top notch theatre program at CHS that allows Cullman students the opportunity to experience the stage. I love the theatre and it a privilege for me to spend my working day investing in students and helping them become passionate about the arts. Our program engages in multiple performances each year with students involved in every aspect of production. We also are active in our state as a part of the Alabama Conference of Theatre and the Alabama Thespian Society. Each of these organizations provide students with opportunities to experience theatre with students from all over the state and in some cases the country. We actively offer classes for performers and also for students who want to be involved behind the scenes. We hope you will consider taking a theatre class and if the stage is not for you, maybe you can become an fan from the audience.
