Graduation Information

  • Cullman City Advanced Academic Endorsement

    • Must meet all requirements for an Alabama diploma
    • 3.5 weighted GPA or higher
    • One World Language or Fine Arts credit
    • One of the following maths: Precalculus, AP Precalculus, AP Statistics, or AP Calculus AB
    • Two Advanced Placement credits

    Cullman City Seal of Academic Distinction

    • Must meet all requirements for an Alabama diploma
    • 3.85 weighted GPA or higher
    • Two World Language (of the same language) credits or two Fine Arts credits 
    • One of the following maths: Precalculus, AP Precalculus, AP Statistics, or AP Calculus AB
    • Four Advanced Placement credits

    Cullman City Workforce Pathway Seal

    • Must meet all requirements for an Alabama diploma
    • Four or more credits have been earned in an approved CTE program of study

    Cullman City Seal of Biliteracy 

    • Must meet all requirements for an Alabama diploma
    • Proof of English proficiency via successful completion of Alabama State requirements
    • Proof of World Language proficiency via a benchmark score on an approved assessment
  • Academic Policy

    7.3.8     Credit Advancement  – The Superintendent is authorized to develop procedures for students who pursue credit advancement. Procedures for credit advancement will be located on the high school and school system website.

    7.3.9     Early Graduation - Students who meet the requirements for graduating may choose to graduate at the end of the first semester of his/her senior year.  Early graduates will not be eligible for valedictorian and/or salutatorian.  Once students graduate, they will not be allowed to participate in winter/spring school events; however, they will be eligible to participate in prom and all commencement exercises and related activities. Students will need to declare in writing to his/her principal their intent to be an early graduate by the last day of his/her eleventh grade year.
