Reese Hopper was honored as the Student of the Year at CHS for outstanding academic achievement and leadership. Parker Powell and Kylie Calvert were likewise recognized by the CHS faculty as the Career Technical Education Students of the Year, reflecting their skill development and accomplishments within their respective career pathways. These distinctions highlight the high standards of achievement of these students.

Our LifeSkills class celebrated Earth Day by picking up quite a bit of trash on campus! 

Ray Oaks and Leigh Ann Busby were recognized for their exceptional service and heartfelt dedication as volunteers at CHS. Through the generous gift of their time, they have built meaningful connections with students, offering encouragement, guidance, and a steady presence in their daily lives. Their compassion and genuine care have not gone unnoticed, as they consistently go above and beyond to support both the academic and personal growth of those they serve. Their efforts exemplify the powerful impact of kindness and community within CHS.

Recently the Cullman Area Chamber Of Commerce had the privilege of assisting Liberty Learning Foundation at Cullman High School with the second round of interviews for their Citizens Promise Grant!

The Cullman Bearcats Varsity Boys Tennis Team (Jake Murphree, Nason Green, Logan Powell, Cameron Caffey, Brayden Clark, Zeke Chaney, and Brant Apel) closed out the 2026 season with a 16-2 record, a 6A, Section 7 Runner-up finish, and a strong showing in the 17-team AHSAA 6A Boys State Championship Tournament in Mobile. The Bearcats finished the season with a #6 state ranking, and were led by Logan Powell and Zeke Chaney with a state runner-up finish at #3 doubles.

Thirty-six Cullman High School students submitted a total of 99 citizen actions this semester! Today, they were celebrated for their service with an ice cream sundae bar 

 and time on the quad. Sarah Spann won a $25 Amazon gift card. Great job!

Senior Cullman High School Citizen Promise Ambassador and Executive Board member Lillie Hogue was honored today, along with 10 other graduating seniors from across Cullman County, and awarded the Service Above Self Award by The Cullman Rotary Club. Lillie has served as an ambassador all four years of her high school career and truly embodies what it means to have a heart of service. We are so proud of her! 

Congratulations to the FFA Aquaculture team on their 2nd place win at the North AL District Eliminations last Friday. The team advances to the State competition in June. Team members are Luis Santaella Guzman, Colin Hyde, Logan Boyd, and Brandon Hopper. 

Congratulations to Luis Santaella Guzman on his individual high score for the Aquaculture competition. He scored a perfect score and was the highest overall in the North District.

Caleb Hollis, Mason Fuller, Weston Keel, and Jackson Floyd destroyed the competition in the 4x100 at the Andy Page Memorial Meet and broke the school record in the process. Congratulations!

The girls golf team competed in the Bert McGriff, a two day tournament held at Terri Pines and Cross Creek. The team finish 4th overall.Thank you to Barry McGriff for his words of encouragement. We greatly appreciate the impact Bert McGriff made on the golf community her in Cullman.
